Frequently Asked Questions:
Can the system process glass? yes it can, however- the glass will smash into small pieces. Suitable for smaller volumes of beer and wine or other beverage with total solids <8%.
Can the system process both wet and dry items? yes it can, we can provide a wet/dry machine that includes a pump which allows you to say "yes" to more organic food items for recycling.
Are you the manufacturer of the Turbo Separator? yes, we are the original equipment manufacturer OEM for all Turbo Separators sold around the world. Our products are sold through local distributors to provide you the best experience.
Are there items that cannot be processed in your machines? yes, items like frozen turkeys; hams; and melons act like bowling balls in the machine and are not good. Other items like raw meat do not separate and pass through screens. Finally, sticky or gooey items are also difficult to separate unless they are mixed with other drier items like cookies or crackers.
Does Scott Equipment provide installation services? currently we do not. Typically each local region has rigging crews or millwrights that can easily offload and install our prefabricate, bolt together sub assemblies in a couple days. Then you contact your local electrician to come do the rest. We do provide commisioning as part of the full system pricing.
How much space do I need? it depends on your intended tons per day; types of materials you want to process; site layout design and where you want to discharge the organics and recovered packaging. Fill out the contact form, we would like to learn more about your situation!
